The Aurenav Virtual Atelier relies on Aurenav Legion to provide the core repository services. The Virtual Atelier is designed to be platform independent. The Aurenav Legion repository services are also platform independent. It is important to note that the Aurenav Virtual Atelier is not a product per se, but is actually an architecture framework and methodology designed to facilitate software development and systems integration; however, Aurenav Legion is a product. The Enterprise Systems Architecture Laboratory maintains a web-based development platform based on the Aurenav Virtual Atelier - an in-house version has been in production since the second quarter of 2001.
